Why companies want contracts
Contracts give cleaning companies predictable revenue. In exchange, you often get a better price and priority scheduling. For stable offices, a contract can be a fair trade.
But a contract also locks you in. If the cleaning slips, you are stuck unless the cancellation terms let you out. Read those terms first.
The clauses that matter
Cancellation. How do you end it? How much notice? Any fees? A 30-day cancellation clause is fair. A full-year lock with penalties is not.
Price. Is the price locked, or can it rise? If it can rise, how much notice do you get?
Scope. The contract should attach the cleaning checklist. Vague scope means vague service.
Performance. What happens when cleaning is missed or poor? Look for a fix-it promise, not just fine print.
Auto-renewal traps
Many contracts auto-renew for another full term unless you cancel in a narrow window. Mark the date. Better yet, ask for a contract without auto-renewal — or skip the contract entirely.
Our approach
We offer service with and without contracts. No-contract plans cost a little more per visit. Contract plans lock your price. Either way, the checklist is in writing and you can change the plan. Call (301) 679-9193.
